The Vine

The vine is a plant cultivated for its fruits. The fermented grape is transformed into mout to make some wine.

The wine appeared 8 000 years ago in the cradle of the civilization in the Middle East (Persia). All the big civilizations evoke the wine: Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Celt.. And deifies it as the god Dyonisos in Greece or Bacchus in Rome who symbolize wine, vineyard, pleasures and theater.

The specie Vitis vinifera is at the origin of numerous vines as Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot, Sauvignon...

Other vines are cultivated in the world among which Vitis labrusca in America and Vitis coignetiae in Asia. The flavors which arise from various vines are very different to the taste and not comparable.

The sap and the leaves of the vine have astringent and anti-inflammatory virtues.

Anthocyanes contained in the skins of the red grape protect and tone up capillaries and veins and are recommended in case of circulatory disorders.

The mention "Red Vine" in the complexes of herbal medicine is rather common. As for leaves, they include astringent tannins and protective flavono´des.

Vines give fruits, drinks, vinegar, oil of grape seed arise, retinol for the cosmetic, …

Numerous trace elements and vitamins are contained in the wine as: Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphor, Potassium, Selenium, Zinc. Vitamins B (skin), P (protects the vitamin C).

In moderation (1 glass a day) the wine is healthy excepted in case of medical contraindication to certain people.
